Counterpoint is a high-level community orchestra, performing symphonic orchestral works in a variety of genres, emphasizing the classical repertoire.

Counterpoint is currently looking for the following instruments:​ Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.

The CCO welcomes applications from musicians playing all orchestral instruments. If there are no vacancies, the musician's name will be placed on a waitlist. If a vacancy occurs, or a concert work requires an additional instrument, the CCO will invite waitlisted musicians to attend two trial rehearsals to assess a fit with the orchestra.

CCO membership requires:

• An application form

• A media consent form

• Reviewing and signing the CCO Respect Policy

• Payment of annual membership fees (currently $120, reduced for students)
