Featured Artist

Jaedon Daly, Section Violin

Jaedon Daly, a proud Hamilton native, graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University’s music faculty under the guidance of Jeremy Bell. Recently, he completed his Master’s degree in violin performance at the University of Toronto, mentored by the renowned Mark Fewer. Notably, Jaedon participated in the Bach Brandenburg project in 2022 alongside members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with esteemed orchestras like the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, National Academy Orchestra, Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra, Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra, Oakville Symphony Orchestra and Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra, among others. As a recipient of the Bill McQueen Scholarship for the Counterpoint Community Orchestra and the De Clara Young Artist Award, Jaedon is devoted to fostering accessibility to music education for marginalized communities. Through his performances, he aims to create a positive impact on audiences and promote inclusivity and diversity within the classical music realm as a queer person of colour. Continual musical growth propels Jaedon toward an exciting career in music and performance. When not immersed in music, he finds joy in engaging in activities like hiking, rock climbing, swimming and playing basketball. Additionally, he indulges in his hobbies of watching anime and reading manga.
