Counterpoint is holding the annual Woody’s fundraising evening on Thursday Mar 29. This event is held at Woody’s, a gay bar on Church Street near Wellesley. We sell raffle tickets to the clients at the bar and give them information about the orchestra. If you can donate a raffle prize, such as a gift certificate, please email info@ccorchestra.org. This event has been a source of important revenue for the orchestra, so come out and support Counterpoint, and have a good time as well!

Counterpoint Community Orchestra is  a community orchestra in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 1984, it was the first Lesbian/Gay/Gay-Positive orchestra in the world. Counterpoint has a 28 year tradition of orchestral performances in the downtown Toronto community.

A Tribute to Charles Dickens,
Novelist, Social Reformer, Philanthropist,
on the Occasion of the
200th Anniversary of his birth

Charles Dickens

Counterpoint Community Orchestra collaborates with the Toronto Branch of the Dickens Fellowship in their 2012 celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. We will present a concert of Dickens-themed music featuring his favorite music, plus pieces from Oliver, and pieces written in 1812, the year of his birth. The programme will include Overture from The Yeomen of the Guard by Sullivan, a medley from Oliver, Mozart's Marten Aller Arten with coloratura Sinead Sugrue, and Beethoven's Seventh Symphony.
