MESSAGE ABOUT THIS SUNDAY'S PIP PERFORMANCE - note the change in music
"Dear CCO Musicians:
Re: Final PIP Performance Sunday August 13
After an incredibly successful summer of performances, the Playing in the Park season is coming to a close this Sunday August 13th. Special thanks is owed to Matt Canaran and the Friends of Allan Gardens for being so enthusiastically supportive of the initiative and for opening the Children's Conservatory when the weather wasn't accommodating. The audiences have been delighted and appreciative, more so than in other summers; I think that change was due to the CCO’s volunteer hosts. At each performance, our hosts welcomed passersby, answered their questions, and told them about Counterpoint - a special thank you to our volunteer hosts!
For this Sunday:
Chamber Performances: we are pleased to feature two chamber performances:
Ventelation - a wind octet featuring Kevin Seymour and friends
Elizabeth Brown playing with a wind ensemble performing Dawn Avery's "In Honor of Ghost Dancers.”
For more information on both performances view the up-dated posting for the August 13th event on the Playing in the Park Schedule on the CCO website.
Combined Ensemble:(Note that the music selections were updated today):

2:30 - 3:00 pm: Mozart Marriage of Figaro - Overture - all players
