1. REHEARSAL MARCH 13, 2023 Although March Break has arrived for some students and families, the orchestra voted to continue with Monday’s rehearsal, this Monday 8:00pm. St. Barnabas Church. We shall be rehearsing Schumann’s Spring Symphony, starting at 8:00, and A Stone’s Throw at 9. As always, please bring your part, available at the Members’ Only portal on the CCO website, or at https://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.1%2C_Op.38_(Schumann%2C_Robert), or by asking our librarian, Robert Mitchell, to bring a part for you. 2. CONCERT STUFF
(I) Tickets and Time - our beautiful tickets are missing the time of the performance on March 25, 7:30pm. Please be sure to tell your friends and family, or write it on the tickets you sell. All of the details can be found on our website of course, so direct everyone to ccoorchestra.org for details.
(ii) Posters - available from the Door Volunteer at Monday’s rehearsal. Not too late to post these at your favourite haunts, and on the bulletin boards and notice boards you see.
(iii) Digital Sign and Group Photo Monday - St. Barnabas has kindly posted, for free, the CCO’s Hello Spring poster on its new digital sign that faces onto Danforth Avenue, It looks great! The Church Administrator also slowed down the display speed on it so that we have time to take a photo. Can you spend a few extra minutes at the end of the rehearsal this Monday March 13 to take a group photo in front of the digital sign? Such a photo would be a fun addition to our website.
(iv) Tickets and Details - concert tickets are available from Helen Li at rehearsals, and may be purchased on line at ccorchestra.org. Everyone is expected to sell at least two.Hello Spring Dress Rehearsal Friday March 24, starting at 7:00pm. We have rented the Church starting at 5: for set up. Hello Spring Concert Details:7:30 to 9:15 St. Peter and St. Simon-the-Apostle Church, 525 Bloor St. East (Sherbourne subway) Masks are mandatory; no food or drink in the Church. Tickets $20, $12 for Youth (18 and younger). Musicians are expected to arrive at the Church on the night of the concert at 6:30pm. Our Green Room is on the main floor.Musician Dress Code - to be confirmed at Monday’s rehearsal. Helen Li will be circulating a list of the musicians who are performing on March 25 at the rehearsal Monday. Please check that your name is there, and spelled correctly. Principals, please check that everyone in your section has been included.

(ii) REHEARSAL START TIME - changed to 7:30pm starting with the rehearsal on Monday April 3, 2023, at St. Barnabas.
(iii) CCO’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY The CCO was born in 1984. We are marking its 40th anniversary next year, culminating in a celebratory concert in June. A 40th Anniversary Committee is being struck. There are so many things to consider: a showy, audience pleasing programme, a bigger than normal venue, sponsorships, anniversary tokens, budget, fundraising, and all the usual concert things like programme design, advertising, etc. Please volunteer (or suggest this volunteer work to someone you know who may have more time than you do) for the 40th Anniversary Committee that is being struck. Please email emitchell1727@gmail.com expressing your interest, and any special skills you may have. Your email will go to the newly appointed Chair. Volunteers for the June 2023 concert, and other committees are always welcome too.
