CCO Announcements March 25 25

March 22, 2025 concert - another remarkable and memorable concert!

I. CONCERT GREETINGS

From Andrew Chung to the Musicians:

"What a triumph!  Thank you so much for your hard work and it was a very exciting concert.  I was appointed as your Music Director in June 2017 and we have done many great concerts since then.  I am proud to say that last night was the best concert I have ever done with you. Beth Brown, our principal oboe stole the show and the Brahms was simply magnificent.  Enjoy your well deserved Monday off and I look forward to working with you for the season finale.”

From the Chair of the Board:

“Another successful event!  So many audience compliments on our music - even "The Strange & Preposterous Affair” was popular - with about half the people I spoke with.  Beth’s performance was truly lovely - and what a contribution Beth made by bringing Matilde Capuis’ beautiful work to life for so many new listeners. The result of our 50/50 draw made someone in the audience very happy, and our concert volunteers once again made everything run smoothly. A real community evening.”

II. REHEARSAL MARCH 28 2025

The music for our June 7 concert is now on the CCO website CCOrchestra.org, Musicians’ Only portal.

The Conductor requests that we rehearse the Rossini work.

Here is what you will find in the Musicians’ Only portal:

The CCO’s music distribution system has changed. Musicians are expected to print their parts from the IMSLP links, which will be provided in advance. If you really can’t print them, please email the CCO Librarian Bob Mitchell at robertmitchell@rogers.com with a lot of notice and ask him to bring a copy for you. The Librarian will not have parts for all instruments. You must print your own. Please login before accessing the sheet music - you will not be able to access pdfs, unless you are logged in
