CCO ANNOUNCEMENTS NOVEMBER 14 2025

Brief Announcements today. Please refer to the November 8 Announcements for more detail. And continue advertising the Dec. 6 concert and baking your cookies. 

I. AGM 

THE CCO”S Annual General Meeting is this Monday, starting at 7:30. We want to start promptly so that we do not lose too much rehearsal time. 

• all Members are entitled to attend and participate 

• Non-members are not invited to attend

• Members in Good Standing (ie, paid fees by on or before October 18) are entitled to vote under the By-Laws

• everyone to please check in with the Door Volunteers who are keeping attendance and who will issue the Members in Good Standing a ballot 

• please bring the electronic documents sent 10 days ago - there will be very few printed copies, and you may want to refer to them

• exercise your right to vote for the Directors who will be running the CCO for the next year 

• snacks: first violins

Thanks for your work on dynamics this past Monday - let’s keep at it. We can achieve some really magical, edge-of-your-seat effects when we land a true subito pianissimo after sweeping the audience up in a crescendo (i.e. Four Last Songs). As well, we need to watch out that the Xmas Singalong doesn’t end up generally loud. We’re going to be the backup band for the audience, so let’s give them a chance to shine.

Finally, I’m unhappy with what I was doing in the bar before M in Mamselle Québecoise - I owe you better direction there. Let’s work it out so it’s set and solid.”
