Several announcements today: new CCO Officers, confirming Monday’s music, details about our December 10 concert.
1. NEW CCO OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS
The Board has elected the CCO’s four Officers for the next year, from the Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting on October 3. Confirming the new Board:

2.. MUSIC FOR OCTOBER 17 REHEARSAL
One-time CCO first violinist Rebecca Gray, now a professional opera singer, will be rehearsing with us this coming Monday. Accordingly, the rehearsal will concentrate on the pieces we are performing with her.

The following week, we will be concentrating on the Trumpet Concerto and the CCO’s commissioned piece, “Journeys, for Angela Swan”, composed by member Andrew McClure.
3. CONSENT TO VIDEO OCTOBER 31 REHEARSAL
The CCO' marketing and communications volunteers, Tai and Tetsuya, want to video a CCO rehearsal for use on the CCO website, instagram, and other social media. They have arranged for the filming to take place at the October 31 rehearsal at St. Barnabas Church.
We would like written consent from the musicians who will be performing at that rehearsal, giving the CCO your permission to use your image on the CCO’s various social media platforms.
A Consent Form will be at the entranceway of St. Barnabas Church at the rehearsals for the next three weeks. Please stop and sign one. Thank you.
4. DECEMBER 10 CONCERT - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY & SOME DETAILS
If you would like to be part of the team putting together the logistics for the upcoming concert, please volunteer by emailing emitchell1727@gmaill.com.
Here are some details about “Holiday Cornucopia”. You will hear more as the date approaches:
Ticket Price: $20 for adults, $12 for children and youth under 18
Venue: Rosedale United Church.
Safety Precautions: MASKS must be worn by everyone inside the Church, but no proof of vaccinations required. The concert will be 1.5 hours long, with no intermission; no food or drink inside the Church.
Expectation: all CCO members will be asked to sell at least two tickets, but please spread the word broadly. The tickets will be available by the end of October, as will posters for members to post in their favourite places.
5. MEMBERSHIP DOCUMENTS
If you have not already done so, please complete your Application for Membership for 2022-’23, the Risk Assessment form, and pay your fees ($100). If you need reduced or waived fees, please ask any Director and the Board will consider that request.
